Message "Summary: In the AshSPEC DOOLZ, the split intake system shares an airspace between both intake tracts which causes the total intake of the engine to be 'added' together."

I believe that you are still not addressing the core problem with dual intakes. Your design does eliminate the driveability hose but will still be suseptable to filter restriction changes.

"It doesn't matter if one side is pulling more air than the other, the total airflow gets combined in that shared space. Because the intake is then divided into two seperate, but equal pipes again, the total airflow is evenly divided between the two pipes."

Yes, BUT You are only measuring ONE side thus the restrictions that come before the measurement DO matter.

"By using two MAS units and two of the same filters on each, the resistance of airflow is identical. This is why the DOOLZ is so effective and it is deadly accurate. In addition to this, it also produces notable power increases on TTZ's still running stock turbos. "

You just proved my 2nd point because of your addition of a dummy MAS to simulate restriction in flow. It seems like you are contradicting yourself saying that in the 1st paragraph that it doesn't matter if one side is pulling more than the other and then go to say above that there mustbe equal airflow restriction through both sides.

Imagine this: What if the passenger side intake filter gets clogged from driving? Your dual intake will fool the ECU twice as much as the the JWT intake since ALL of the air will be metered from the MAS side (because of the X-pipe, both banks will pull air from one filter) and THEN it will be ADDED again in the ECU. And that is the good scenario, imagine it the other way around.

Maybe I'm wrong on this, if so educate me please ;)

Later,

George
